Licensing

Licensing scheme
Factory Nova licenses are based either on the number of active users or on the number of active projects (with an unlimited license also available). Such flexible approach allows you to choose the licensing scheme that is most convenient for your particular situation.

If only a few active users will work on a lot of different projects then a user-limited license is the best choice for you. If a lot of users will work on a few projects then you might want to choose a project-limited license.

Please note, that at any time you can disable users or projects to make room for more users or projects. For example, if a project is completed, you can disable it and thus increase the number of projects that you can have in the active status by one.

Master and Supplementary licenses
There are master licenses and supplementary licenses. Supplementary licenses can only be installed in the product if a master license is already installed. For example, you should add a master license to the product before you will be able to add a copyright removal license (which is a supplementary license).

Please note that all licenses are issued only for one installation of the product. If you want to setup several installations you will need to purchase separate licenses for each of them.

Source code and modifications
The source code of the trial version is encrypted. However, a version of the software with a completely open source code will become available to you in the clients area as soon as you will purchase a commercial license.

All licenses permit modifications of the source code of the software as long as these modifications do not violate the license restrictions.

Upgrade policy
Support and minor upgrades of the software are provided free of charge (however, it is not possible to upgrade a trial version at all). A new major version of the software will require you to purchase a new license (at a special discounted price) in order to use it.

"Major version" is determined by a new first digit in the software’s version number. An example of a minor version upgrade: 1.0.0 » 1.1.0. An example of a major version upgrade: 1.9.0 » 2.0.0.
